Thomas Harper Kelly is an accomplished intellectual property attorney with extensive experience working with clients in many industries, including apparel, consumer products, pharmaceuticals, and real estate. Tom provides counseling services to clients negotiating licenses and sales of intellectual property and other assets, as well as building branding strategies, and developing management and maintenance strategies for intellectual property portfolios.

 

Tom has represented clients in disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and in cases in state and federal courts involving claims of trademark infringement, copyright infringement, and unfair competition. He has experience in preparing litigation strategies, drafting and responding to discovery requests, and negotiating settlements.

 

Tom earned his law degree from Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law with a concentration in intellectual property, with honors. During law school, Tom worked as an intern at the Drexel University Technology Transfer Office and as a research assistant for Professor Greg Lastowka on a sponsored study of copyright issues related to user-created content in video games.

 

Prior to joining Wilftek, Tom worked at several AmLaw 100 law firms and worked as in-house counsel for one of the world's largest residential real estate brokerages.

 

Tom is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars, as well as the Bars of several federal courts.
