Conformance status
To achieve web accessibility, we have partnered with Perspective Tester, a digital accessibility consultancy, and we leverage their Accessibility as a Service (A3S) program. This service is designed to simplify web accessibility by auditing and remediating this website each month. This statement is updated regularly to reflect the latest audit and remediation work conducted under the A3S program on a monthly basis.
Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that places of public accommodation are accessible, and that is generally understood to mean that websites should meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). In 2024, the Department of Justice issued a Final Rule (Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Disability; Accessibility of Web Information and Services of State and Local Government Entities, 89 Fed. Reg. 31,320 (June 24, 2024) (U.S. Dep’t of Just. Final Rule). This rule requires that state and local government websites meet WCAG 2.1 AA. In addition, under ADA settlements, private businesses have voluntarily agreed to meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We endeavor to stay ahead of regulatory requirements by testing and remediating to the latest version of the WCAG, currently WCAG 2.2 AA. All website areas, including forms and policy pages, are tested against these WCAG standards.
Our testing and remediation efforts are ongoing, and this website is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. Because the web’s technology and assistive tools evolve, occasional issues may arise for specific users. Please contact us with any accessibility issues you encounter, so that we can address them.
